How do I change my Garage Sale ad address?
When you post an ad, the sale address is tied to your Member Profile. So in order to change your sale address, go into Edit Profile in your Member Section and update your address there. The changes will be reflected when you go to post an ad. You won't be able to edit your sale address from the Ad Garage Sale page.

How do I create an Account ?
Click the Login or Search buttons in the top menu of our web site.
You will see a Create a FREE Account button, click it to fill out our registration form.

Why do I need to create an Account ?
Creating an account will allow you to flag Garage Sale ads to your profile, thus allowing you to print
your Garage Sale list for the upcoming weekend.
Creating an account is FREE. We have a strict privacy policy and will never sell or distribute
any information collected at our web site.

How do I Search for Garage Sales ?
Click the Search button in the top menu of our web site.
You will need to login to view our Garage Sale ads.

How do I retrieve my password ?
Click the Forgot your password button on the Login or Search pages of our web site.
Enter your email address into the form and click the retrieve button.
The email address you provide must match the email address we have on file for you.
If you have trouble retrieving your account information, please contact us.

How do I edit my Member Profile ?
Click the Login button in the top menu of our web site.
You will need to log into your Member Section. Enter your username and password.
Once you enter your Member Section, click the Edit your Profile button.

How do I edit my Garage Sale ad ?

You will need to log into your Member Section. Enter your username and password.
Once you enter your Member Section, click the Edit your Garage Sale button.

How do I check to see if Cookies are enabled in my browser ?
To check to see if you have cookie enabled, or to enable them: (Internet Explorer)
- 1. Click the Tools menu on Internet Explorer and select Internet Options
- 2. Click the Privacy tab, and click the Advanced button
- 3. Check the Override automatic cookie handling checkbox,
make sure both first & third party cookies are Accept values, and click OK
- 4. Click OK to close the Internet Options window
You may have to close your browser and re-open it for the new settings to take effect.
Cookies are a tiny file that resides in your browser that tells us that your have logged into your Member account, and allows you to view Garage Sale ads. It contains no other information about your computer, just your Member login information for our site.

What is my 'Watch List' ?
Your Watch List is a list of 'flagged' Garage Sales that you have selected. When viewing the
Garage Sale ads, you can click the Watch this Sale button and add the sale to your Watch List.
Three days before the start of the Garage Sale and the morning of the Garage Sale, you will receive
automated emails from us about your watched sales.
When you are ready to view your watch list, log into your Member Section and enter your
View your Watched Sales section. This section will show you a list of your flagged
Garage Sales.
To view a printer-friendly version of your Watch List, click the click here link to
open the printer-friendly version in a new window. Depending on the type of Internet browser you are
using (Explorer, Netscape or Other) you can print this page.
All your watched Garage Sales will be automatically deleted when the Garage Sale ad expires.
You can also manually delete a watched sale from your Watch List by clicking the delete
button next to the sale.

How do I remove myself from your mailing list ?
Login to your Member account and update your Member profile. Check the No radio button for Member updates, and submit the changes.

I'm having trouble with Photo Upload
Our system only accepts JPG file formats. We resize all photos when they are uploaded and our system can not resize any other format.
If you have uploaded a photo and are unable to view it, this could be happening for a number of reasons.
Usually this is caused by the photo image containing some corrupt data in its header. The header is read by our system to determine its file type. If our system cannot determine the file type from the header information, the file upload is aborted. This is a security measure.
We recommend that you try one of the following to remedy the problem
- Open the photo in Photoshop or another photo editing program and re-save it
- Open the photo in Photoshop or another photo editing program, create a new blank image of the same size, and copy the existing photo into the blank image
- Use this online system to resize your photo (www.resize2mail.com)
Once you have done this, try uploading your photo again. If you still have trouble, please contact us.

Garage Sale Ads > Entering Sale Information
Sale Name
Choose a descriptive name for your Garage Sale. This will help with the relevance of your
Garage Sale coming up in our Keyword Search.

Sale Address
This is the address of your Garage Sale. The address of your Garage Sale has to be
the same address as the one listed in your Member account.
If the address in this textfield is not the address of your garage sale, please update your Member Profile with the correct address. The address in this field is selected from the address provided in your Member Profile.

Sale Duration
Choose 1 or 2 days for your sale duration. This field
describes the number of days your Garage Sale spans.
Remember: A 2 day sale is April 4 and April 5, not April 6. I know 6 - 4 = 2 (last I checked)
but sale duration is inclusive of the day the sale starts.
If you wish to have a longer duration (i.e: 3 days), please contact us.

Sale Start Date
This will be the starting date of your Garage Sale. Please ensure that the day of the month actually
exists.
Example: Feb 30 - does not exist
Months/Days:
January - 31 days, February - 28/29 days, March - 31 days, April - 30 days, May - 31 days, June - 30 days,
July - 31 days, August - 31 days, September - 30 days, October - 31 days, November - 30 days,
December - 31 days.

Sale End Date
This will be the ending date of your Garage Sale. Please ensure that the day of the month actually
exists.

Sale Time (Day 1)
This will be the sale times for the first day of your Garage Sale. If your sale is only one day you
will only need to set these times, and ignore the Day 2 Times section.

Sale Time (Day 2)
This will be the sale times for the second day of your Garage Sale. This section only applies
if your sale duration is 2 days.

Sale Description
This is your chance to describe your Garage Sale. This wording of this section plays an important
role when viewers search by Keyword.
The words in your Description are looked at and ranked for
relevancy. Even though we say 'unlimited words' the spot in our database for your sale description
is about 1000 characters. If you need more room, please contact us.

Sale Categories
Select multiple categories that best describe your Garage Sale items. You may choose as
many categories as you wish. If you have some items that don't fit into any of the listed
categories, contact us, and we'll look into adding your category.
Renovation Items can consist of: Building Materials, Sinks, Cabinets, Vanities, Tubs, Toilets, Doors, etc...

This is your chance to provide accurate driving directions to your Garage Sale. Even though we provide a map
to aid people on locating your Garage Sale, it is important that you provide accurate directions to your sale.

This section is to provide more information about your sale, if you max out your sale description.
Also use this section to address the issue of parking, pets, etc for your Garage Sale.

Early Birds
This flag will display a fancy icon for your Garage Sale ad to let viewers know if Early Birds are welcome or not.
For those of you who do not know what an 'Early Bird' is, here we go: An Early Bird is a Garage Sale patron
who shows up prior to the posted start time of the sale. We are assembling an 'Early Birds & Etiquette' rulebook.

Rain or Shine
This flag will display a fancy icon for your Garage Sale ad to let viewers know if your sale is
cancelled due to rain or less-than-desirable weather patterns.
It would be helpful to place some notes about this in your Misc. Information section.

Photo Upload
Photo Upload allows you to add a photo to your Garage Sale ad. Photos help provide visual
validation for your ad, and can also be beneficial to showing off your wares.
Uploading a photo is quite simple. Simply click the Browse button to search for an image
on your local hard drive. Once you find the image, double click it (or single click it and click the Open button).
The path to the image will be inserted into the Photo Upload form for you.
Click the Upload File button to upload the file to our server.
File Constraints
- Files may only be JPG, JPEG formats
- File size for the file being uploaded must be under 500 kB.
